We are looking for Anishinaabe to represent their Clan as members of the land trust. Our goal is to guide the land trust by the power and restoration of traditional governance structures. Our members work together to implement (to the best of our ability) our ancestral ways of leadership and life for the benefit of our current and future generations.
What Do Members Do?
• Be active in the growth and development of the charity.
• Represent your original Anishinaabe Clan as a Clan Member in the land trust.
• Share your Clan knowledge for the purpose of restoring Anishinaabe culture.
• Provide support to the direction and management of the organization.
• Practice and promote the Seven Grandfather Teachings.
Each Clan oversees a Committee of the land trust. As a member representing your original Clan, you will also represent a committee of the organization (see ‘How We Operate‘).
